MAINSOURCE Announces Additions to Senior Management Team
Ottawa,
Ont.— September 2, 1999 — MAINSOURCE Software Corporation today
announced that Daniel (Dan) Roy has joined the company to head up
marketing, sales and channel development. Dan joins the company
from Newbridge Networks Corporation where he held various senior
management positions which included launching Newbridge into the
frame relay and packet switching business and the implementation
of the firm's affiliate and technology partnering programs.
Also joining
the company as Vice President, Healthcare Business Development is
Dr. Christopher Skinner. Dr. Skinner is responsible for aggressive
development of a broad range of relationships with healthcare informatics
organizations. Dr. Skinner joins the company from the Ottawa Hospital
where he served as the Chief Information Officer.
" We are very
excited about the addition of Dan and Chris to our team and look
forward to continued growth of the company with them onboard", remarked
Randy Senske, President and CEO, MAINSOURCE Software Corporation.
"They complement the existing senior team comprising myself, Paul
Duff, Vice President Business Development and Brian Murphy, CFO
and Treasurer. The key executives are now in place to support the
strong growth anticipated for the MAINSOURCE team to 100+ people
from the current team of 20."
"What impressed
me about MAINSOURCE was its understanding of production class information
systems and the product architecture", said Dan Roy. "A new paradigm
for the Internet is developing that will enable the next generation
of web based business applications. With its state-of-the-art content
management solution built around Level 7 Information Switching technology,
the company is well positioned to take the lead in this area. Level
7 Information Switches handle information as objects that are routed
intelligently based on their attributes. By integrating the MAINSOURCE
content management solution into the web, it is transformed into
a virtual, global object database enabling any type of information
to be managed in a highly structured and efficient manner that can
be scaled to support unlimited-sized systems. The impact on Internet
Service Providers (ISPs), Application Service Providers (ASPs) and
the Enterprise promises to be very significant and this is what
attracted me to MAINSOURCE", explained Mr. Roy.
Dr. Skinner,
who is also a practicing neurologist, noted that "This technology
will revolutionize how we deliver health care information to clinical
providers using secure web access. This approach allows health care
organizations to share information in a secure fashion without disrupting
their existing infrastructures. It also frees healthcare institutions
from being dependent on single vendor solutions and is a major enabler
for regionalization of healthcare resources across Canada and North
America."
