MAINSOURCE Appoints Independent Board of Directors
Ottawa, Ont.—September
22, 1999—MAINSOURCE Software Corporation today announced completion
of the formation of an independent Board of Directors with the appointment
of Robert Ashe, Deborah Weinstein and Claude Haw. Robert Ashe, Senior
Vice President, Worldwide Customer Services at Cognos Incorporated,
has led the charge for more than 15 years in the enterprise software
market. Deborah Weinstein is a senior partner at LaBarge Weinstein
and has considerable experience in guiding emerging technology companies.
Claude Haw has been at Newbridge Networks Corporation for the past
11 years, most recently as Vice President of Business Development
where he was responsible for the highly successful Affiliated-company
program which included a portfolio of more than 15 technology start-up
companies. Claude also becomes Chairman of the Board for MAINSOURCE.
“We are very
pleased to have attracted these strong industry players to complement
the MAINSOURCE team. They will help to guide us through the planned
rapid growth phase for the company”, said Randy Senske, President,
CEO and Founder. The Board of Directors also includes Randy Senske
and Dan Roy, Executive Vice President. Paul Duff, Vice President,
Business Development and Founder serves as Secretary for the company.
“MAINSOURCE
is extremely well positioned to take advantage of the high growth
in deployment of Web-based information systems, with their unique
Level 7 information delivery architecture and products, that are
capable of addressing the complexity demanded by today’s content
management solutions,” remarked Rob Ashe. “I’m pleased to bring
my knowledge of delivering strong enterprise software solutions
to help the company attain its goals”.
“It is great
to be able to join the Board of a start-up that has both a seasoned
management team with more than 150 years of combined industry experience
and a sophisticated product which is already shipping”, said Deborah
Weinstein. “This is not a typical start-up.”
“I was attracted
to MAINSOURCE because of the tremendous market size and opportunity,”
added Claude Haw. “Every enterprise, ISP (Internet Service Provider)
and ASP (Application Service Provider) understands the need to effectively
manage their information and content needs. Many are only now realizing
that they will need a highly scalable, distributed and robust solution
to meet the requirements of their customers. MAINSOURCE has the
right product at the right time in my opinion.”
MAINSOURCE
expects to close a financing round of US $2 million in October to
fuel the planned growth in R&D, implement an aggressive sales and
marketing campaign and position the company to become the dominant
solution provider in this explosive web content management market.
